Brisbane's Tour The Glass will host an afternoon of absolute wine indulgence at Grape Therapy as they explore hand-picked selections of top-shelf, top-quality wines from around the world, with wine trivia and prizes and including optional locally sourced cheese and charcuterie platters to accompany. 


The resident sommelier will take you on a trip of the senses with new wines and options at each session

MELBOURNE WHISKY WEEK

November 19- December 5 2021

The inaugural 2021 Melbourne Whisky Festival – a spirit and whisky festival featuring more than 40 events across more than 30 venues in the city, surrounding suburbs and the Mornington Peninsula – will be unbottled from Friday 19 November through 5 December. 


From Masterclasses in Whisky making, to wisky pairing degustations, music and more, the event is a celebration of local and international whisky and spirits promising to provide an explosion of taste, entertainment and experience, showcasing an outstanding range of traditional, diverse, new-world and award-winning brands.

BLAKEAWAY BRIGHTON

August 2021

Caterer Blakes Feast  has opened a new premises in the busy shopping strip of Church Street, Brighton, opposite Woolworths.  It will become the third Blakeaway premises, joining the existing Glen Iris and Portsea properties. 


The site will sell both pick and delivery options of prepared meals, Neds breads, Cobb Lane pastries, snack items and coffee, among a vast range of daily essentials and produce.  A further outlet is palnned for Armadale later in the year

ALTERNATIVE VARIETIES WINE SHOW

5-8 November 2021

Held every November in Mildura in Victoria's north west corner, the AAVWS is celebrating its 20th festival in 2021. For twenty years the AAVWS has been more than a forum for wines falling outside the mainstream. They continue to encourage cutting-edge judging procedures and provide a host of social and educational events to promote knowledge sharing and the ferment of ideas.

PETER KURUVITA LEAVING SOFITEL NOOSA

9 September 2021

After 8 years as the name behind the Noosa Beach House at Sofitel Noosa in Hastings Street, Chef Peter Kuruvita has announced his departure on September 30, and will announce a new venture soon. 


"This is the end of a truly memorable era for me. I’d like to thank all the locals, regulars and visitors who travelled far and wide to dine at the restaurant and attend our events. I’ve been lucky enough to work with an incredible hard-working team, amazing Sunshine Coast producers and be a part of such a strong community,” he says.
