LUNE BRISBANE

OPENED AUGUST 2021

Croissant lovers rejoice. The Melbourne institution that is Lune was due to be opening in Sydney until Delta had her way. So, north to Brisbane to two immaculate Hogg & Lamb-designed spaces beneath the 30 storey The Standard on Manning Street opposite the entrance to Fish Lane, close to our friends at Maeve. They are serving croissants , pain au chocolat, kouign-amann, morning buns, Danishes and cruffins, plus savoury options including Lune’s classic ham and gruyere croissant, with Coffee Supreme supplying the beans.

JETTY BAR & EATS WA

OPENED JULY 2021

Opening in a shack between the Fremantle bridges on the Swan River, Jetty Bar and Eats opened in July 2021. Seating 120 patrons and with a contemporary menu of small and shared plates, giros and deli platters, Jetty will quickly become the place to be seen. With a great array of well designed dishes focused on local produce and playful creation, Jetty Bar and Eats is open from noon Wednesday - Sunday. Call in for a cold beer, a plate of Albany sardines with yuzu and seaweed butter, and live a little.

SOI 38 ADELAIDE

NEW LOCATION

Not so much an new pening as a relocation, Adelaide's favourite Thai diner Soi 38 has shifted to the former Subway store at the corner of Pirie Street and Coromandel Place. It will continue to serve u its faves, including Khao Soi and their epic Green Curry. The former site on Pulteney Street will act as a popup serving a few of their other long time signatures like the Chang Mai sausage hot dog and curry dumplings. The new store will focus on regional Thai food and champion local South Australian produce.

KENJIN BRISBANE

OPENED JUNE 2021

Part high end Japanese restaurant, part weekend dance bar, Kenjin burst onto the scene at the end of May in the heart of Brisbane. Headed up by chef Dale Kettle, former private chef to royalty, sport superstars and celebrities and manager Thibaud Cregaut, whose background includes 3 Michelin star venues in Paris,  Australian luminaries Peter Gilmore, Neil Perry, and Ross Lusted, and part of the pre open at Cantonese shrine The Stanley at Howard Smith Wharves, Kenjin is sure to liven up the Valley.
